| If there is a single story
that can be told that can describe what it is to be an American, then
perhaps it is the story of The Weavers. Their songs were sung by
Presidents, Prisoners and everyone in between. Since this Band directly
influenced so many aspiring folk groups, as well as Jefferson Airplane, it
is only fitting that we have our own Weavers Scrapbook here at
www.jeffersonstarshipsf.com. I hope I will be forgiven for running all over the Internet and borrowing all these pictures, articles and videos. I will surely be haunted by the ghosts of my old English Teachers for plagiarizing the plagiarists. If I have offended anyone or somehow misquoted or left something unaccredited, please contact me, I will commit Hara-Kiri immediately upon request. I got lots of stuff from Wikipedia, YouTube and searches on Google. What was at first just a curiosity turned into a very emotional experience. Lest we forget how long the road is... |
