Ralph McTell is perhaps one of the most underrated English folk singers in this country. Most people on know of his cult one hit on early FM radio, Streets of London. But his repertoire is very extensive and equally impressive. In part to his never having toured in the US, I believe. His CD's are not easy to find and well worth the extra cost to order as an import from Tower.|
Another English favorite that has gone unnoticed in this country is the one off release by a group called Sweet Thursday from 1968. The vinyl copy that I have is worn away and still worth listening to with all the pops and tics.
