I love Bourbon Street, Clark Street & Belmont, Legends, The Vic, Park West, The Aragon Ballroom...................they are as legendary to those in Chicago as The Matrix, The Fillmore Auditorium, The Fillmore West, etc.|
The ambience is as great there as any venue out here, shades and memories of The Buckinghams, The Cryin' Shames, Shadows of Knight(H.P.Lovecraft), New Colony Six, American Breed, CTA, The Flock, Paul Butterfield Blues Band and let's not forget, the first release by Big Brother & The Holding Company, i.e., Janis, was also recorded in Chicago.
MC is correct, regardless of the surroundings, euphoria and smiles are derived from the band and not the venue.
In the case of any older venues in The Olde Towne area of Chicago, they will enjoy them as much as any venues back here in the bay area.
