Message Body

You are an inspiration to your comrades in the gabbling underground.  (Yet another thing we can't stop talking about!)

To celebrate, a few lines from the Argentine poet, Antonio Machado:

"In words of love
a tiny bit of exaggeration
feels right."

and a poem from Pablo Neruda:

At dusk I bend down and throw my sad nets
into the seas of your eyes.

My solitude is burning and lengthening in this highest bonfire of all,
and throwing its arms around like a shipwrecked man.

I make signals in red over your absent eyes
that sway like seas at the foot of a lighthouse.

You are watching darkness only, my woman so far away,
sometimes in your glance the coast of terror is visible.

At dusk I bend down and throw my sad nets
into the oceans swirling in your sea eyes.

The night birds peck out the first stars
that glitter like my soul when I love you.

The night is galloping on her black mare
sowing blue wheat heads over all the fields.

* * * * * * * *
finally, a secret list --
guard it carefully.
another comrade will be along with instructions:

2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 whole eggs

Happy 31st!
