I've heard that in ancient Egypt, if someone saved your life, you were supposed to spend the rest of your days following them around & ministering to their every need
(hmnn, was this called slavery?) --
In any case
I'm with you, Dave.
I'd say for $100 we're getting off easy.
& I WOULD RATHER IT BE AN OUTRIGHT GIFT THAN A DAMN BUSINESS TRANSACTION!
My feeling: I've been richly compensated (way, way beyond "paid in full" a long time ago for any "investments" I've made -- god how I hate that mindset!), and what this band gives, they give many times over. I have no doubt that the Society will be about perpetuating works of love, far more than about bringing in money, & I would be thrilled to see the money brought in so that the work can continue.

To me, we're part of this pack & I'm grateful for that, as I am for the opportunity to give something back.
I also think that when a post reaches the point where it's got a wolfpack running through ancient Egypt, it might be time to make coffee...
