So? Is JS really coming back to Middletown? We mid-upstate New Yorkers have been waiting...a cancelled show at Poughkeepsie's Chance Theater a while back, a (very) understandably cancelled show on Sept. 15th at the very same town's Riverfest. I've got my fingers crossed for this go-round....can it really be almost ten years since the last Paramount show? Papa John, Paul, Marty, Jack...powerful stuff. I recall one of the most respectful & hushed crowds I've ever experienced at a rock•nroll well as one hell of an amazing musical experience.

Last concert I saw in the old year was acoustic Hot Tuna at Poughkeepsie's Bardavon Theater (oldest continually working theater in NY state - Patti Smith's show last year may be, on any given day of recollection, the greatest show I, and my fellow concert-goers, have yet to experience) any rate, Tuna in the fall, JS in late winter, and my Airplane fix completes itself yet again.

Across The Sea of Suns is very, very good indeed. It's really a treat to hear so many non-"Greatest Hits Live," and played and recorded so well - so beautifully. The fact that they were recorded in New York City and state makes it all the sweeter for this east-coaster.
