I agree that there is much more that most humans can do to help other humans alleviate their suffering. This would be a good thing for everyone to make a high priority in their lives.|
However, I believe that caring treatment of animals and "tree hugging" are vitally important for the quality of life that I desire for myself and humankind.
Without respecting and nuturing the existence of
animals and green spaces, we will eventually have nothing left but concrete, buildings, cars, people and garbage.
I don't want a world like that.
Working towards a greener, more biologically diverse world begins with seeing the value in natural creatures, plants and our environment.
