It was actually Paul who brought "Women Who Fly" to Darby to perform in the JS back in 92. And it was Darby who brought "Genesis Hall" to the JS. As for which arrangement is better, its a toss up. There are a lot of similarities between the songs. But the major distinction is Slick's spacey guitar solo and Nona uses a spacey trumpet solo. Nona's version is more of an exotic/romantic dreamlike quality for slow dancing. Not to mention the Peter Gabriel like elements. |
For head music the JS version is better. But for slow romantic slow dancing I'll take Nona's version. I like both versions of Women Who Fly.
