Message Body

Back in the 74-84 period, I always fancied Pete playin with Jack and Jorma. A combined love of the blues plus being "musicians' musicians" made them naturals for each other.

You only have to listen to what Pete adds to Tuna to realise how good that match is - Pete made the "SWEETWATER" albums work.

What pisses me off is that Jorma will give effective partnership in Tuna to (as you rightly point out, Don) the relatively-untalented Falzarano while keeping Pete relegated to sidesman status.

Could you imagine Tuna doing "Guatamala"? How much more could Pete give to Tuna if only Jorma would recognise the full talents of the man sitting on the piano stool?

Incidentally, I believe Pete didn't get the Dead job due to his limited vocal abilities. I guess the Dead didn't need one more crap singer!
