The reason for the short 1st set was the club insisted. The reason why the club made this occur is because BB Kings turns in an after-hours disco at 1AM. I stayed til 1:50 for band reasons and watched as the disco-people were frisked for weapons at the front door and allowed to dance/drink. It was a sight to see. One minute we were spacing out to the wit and music charm of Paul Kantner. The next minute, there was disco music coming out of ths sound system and their disco ball was spinning. Very surreal...Dave |
