I remember reading somewhere that the reason the FDA could come up with no evidence to support their classifying cannabis as a dangerous drug was that, upon its digestion by the body, THC breaks down into any of 26 different compounds, and the folks at the lab just didn't have the wherewithal to test all 26 of these compounds.|
Thus it is a good guess to assume that smoking pot has different effects upon different people. For some folks it was a depressant, for me it was a stimulant (esp. Humboldt bud).
I don't smoke pot anymore -- my body is deluged with its tars and greases, which it eliminates at a slow drop if at all.
