Message Body

I thought The Cure was fun.   The Smiths had an exact kind of romantic edge. Very seductive and stylized---but finally, YES, a repetitive approach that wore itself thin.

The Cure ran a little longer, I think.
Those were a little later, right?

Now David Byrne, like David Bowie, is a very original, conceptual visual/performance artist.
Those guys, like Madonna, are in a different category, than our beloved Jerry or Paul.
More like Ozzy, etc. Where the conceptual has to be realized theatrically.  just a whole different thing.

Sorry--just waxing into genre talk, I guess.
