1)  My favorite jazz sax players are Gerry Mulligan and Paul Desmond.
2)
(A) Yes, Hendrix would have gone disco/funk and today would be playing the sort of stuff Jeck Beck does.
(B) Clapton's best work was done by '71.  Getting off the drugs and mellowing out was a bad career move (but a good health move).
(C)  JFK was not the big spending liberal that LBJ was.  JFK believed in supply-side economics, cutting taxes to spur economic growth.  He would not have bankrupted the country like LBJ did running a war and welfare state expansion simultaneously.  Years of recession would have been avoided if JFK had lived.
